Travelpal

Travelpal is a social platform that simplifies travel planning and social connection, providing a comprehensive solution for users to plan a trip with new or previous buddies.

We did it!

Idea, pitch, implementation and shipped to production in 2 weeks. Worked in a remote team of 4 people, across different geographies.

Lessons learned

This project has taught me a lot to work efficiently as team although remotely, front and backend development and new code. It also taught me a lot about myself.

DonVito-Antipasti

A solo journey from concept to production in just two days, DonVito Antipasti is a testament to streamlined, efficient web development. Crafting this simple yet elegant page for a celebrated Salzburg antipasti shop, I managed all aspects of development and deployment with ease.

Accomplished!

Crafted and launched single-handedly, the DonVito Antipasti website stands as a clear reflection of straightforward and effective web development.

Lessons learned

The project honed my full-stack development skills and emphasized the value of autonomy in web development. It was a straightforward task that reinforced my proficiency and taught me the power of simplicity in design and execution.

About me

Hello, my name is Michael Catania, I'm a passionate introvert who believes that it's never too late to learn something from scratch.

Born in Southern Germany to a Portuguese mother and Italian father, I have lived in several European countries. I started working at an early age and mostly learned things by doing. I always thought programming was too abstract and complicated for me, so I never really got into it.

This was the case until 2020, when I found myself playing a lot of video games - probably too much! It was then that I wondered if I could one day make my own video game and finally understand the magic world of web and app development.

I started exploring tutorials on the web, developing skills and learning how to code. I recently completed Le Wagon's intensive Full Stack Web Development course and I'm now looking for a full-time role to help a company solve challenges, achieve their goals and keep learning!

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss my qualifications further.
